Lane County Developmental & Disability Services -LCDDS

The agency that determines eligibility for paid support services for individuals living in Lane County who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities. LCDDS additionally provides case management support by coordinating self-directed support services. It is the largest case management entity in Lane County, and second largest in Oregon.

One of two brokerage service agencies that provides case management support by coordinating self-directed support services to service-eligible adults living in Lane County who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities.

WIOA

The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 was passed to help job seekers succeed in the labor market by providing them with access to employment, education, training, and support services and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. The primary partners in Oregon’s implementation of WIOA are the Higher Education Coordinating Commission Offices of Workforce Investments (OWI) and Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD), who work together as the administrative entities for several of the federally funded workforce and education programs.

DHS Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)

Assists individuals with disabilities to get and keep a job that matches their skills, interests and abilities. VR staff work in partnership with the community and businesses to provide services that are individualized to help each eligible person receive services that are essential to their employment success.

Supported Employment Services (SES)

An Oregon licensed employment services agency that provides individualized employment supports to people with disabilities in Lane County. SES employment services help people to identify their work skills and abilities, locate employment, learn and master a job, and retain employment.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

A Federal income supplement program funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes). SSI provides limited cash benefits to help disabled people with little or no income meet basic needs for food, clothing and shelter.

Homes for Good - Housing Agency

Homes for Good is Lane County’s hub for affordable, low-income housing services. They connect people with rental assistance and public housing. Their long term efforts emphasize the creation of more affordable housing for low-income Lane County residents.
